Support
Free to read costs somebody something
Not much, and not to you. Storage, servers and bandwidth are what stand between a note a student uploaded and a phone that needs it the night before an exam. Donations pay for that, and only that.
Run by Lacspace Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu.
The promise
It is free, and donations are what keep that true
Every note is free to read and download, with no account, no trial and no chapter that stops. That is a decision, not a launch offer — and donations are how it survives contact with a hosting bill.
- No adverts anywhere on the site or in the app.
- No student data sold, ever, to anyone.
- No plan to introduce a paid tier.
Where it goes
Servers, storage, and the bandwidth to download from them
Almost all of it is infrastructure. A note has to sit somewhere, and it has to travel to a phone in Nepalgunj at four in the afternoon when everyone else is also downloading something.
- Servers running the site and the API.
- Storage for every file a student has uploaded.
- Bandwidth — the part that grows with every download.
What it buys
A rupee here is a note that stays downloadable
There is no clever conversion to quote. Money goes into keeping files online and reachable, and that is the entire mechanism.
What it keeps online
82 notes, and the next one
82 notes across 483 subjects, put there by 6 students who got nothing for it. Small — which is exactly why the next contribution still moves the number.
If money is tight
Upload a note instead. It costs you nothing at all
Most people reading this are students, and asking students for money is a strange way to fund a student project. Sharing a note you have already written costs you nothing and is worth more to the next person than Rs 500.
What you get
Your name on it, and nothing else
There is no donor tier, badge or perk, because a perk would be the first step towards two classes of student. Contributors are credited on what they shared; donors are thanked personally, by a person.
What we will not do
Your data is not the product, and never becomes it
The obvious way to fund a free platform is to sell the people using it. We would rather ask you directly and be refused.
- No advertising networks, no trackers sold access to your reading.
- No selling or sharing student data with third parties.
- Anything you upload stays yours, and can be taken down on request.
How to give
Talk to a person first
There is no payment button here yet, and putting up a half-finished one to look complete would be worse than saying so. Contributions are arranged directly with the Lacspace team, which also means you get to ask exactly where it goes before you send anything.

Questions people ask before giving
What does a donation pay for?
Servers, file storage and bandwidth — the cost of keeping notes online and downloadable for free.
Will the notes ever be put behind a paywall?
No. Free access is the point of the project, and donations exist so it does not have to change.
