Important
Everything on this Service was written by students. It is not checked by a teacher, an examiner, a university or any examination board. Always check what you revise against your own current official syllabus.
At a glance
A plain-language summary. The numbered clauses below are what legally applies.
- Student-written revision material. Not an official source, and not checked by anyone.
- Syllabuses change. A note that was right last year may be wrong for your paper.
- No guarantee of any result. Nothing here promises you a mark.
- Nothing here is legal, medical, financial or professional advice.
- Our liability is limited, but never for death, personal injury or fraud.
1. The nature of the material
- 1.1
Every note, answer, summary and comment on the Service was written and uploaded by a student.
- 1.2
Material is not written, commissioned, reviewed, verified, corrected or approved by us.
- 1.3
Material is not endorsed by any examination board, university, school, government body or professional institute.
- 1.4
A contributor's name on a note identifies who uploaded it. It is not a qualification, a credential or a warranty of accuracy.
- 1.5
A high download count, a high vote count or a leaderboard position indicates popularity, not correctness.
Why this is here
Popularity and accuracy diverge most sharply exactly where it matters — a clear, confident, wrong explanation spreads faster than a careful right one.
- 1.6
We do not fact-check material before or after publication.
- 1.7
We remove material we become aware is wrong, but we do not undertake to find it.
2. Not an official source
- 2.1
Material on the Service is not an official syllabus.
- 2.2
Material described as a past paper is a student's recollection or compilation, not an official reproduction.
- 2.3
Material described as a marking scheme is a student's reconstruction, not an official one.
- 2.4
Syllabuses, question patterns and mark allocations change between years and between boards.
- 2.5
You must check anything you rely on against your own current official syllabus and your institution's guidance.
- 2.6
Where material conflicts with an official source, the official source is correct and the material is wrong.
- 2.7
We do not undertake to keep material current with any syllabus.
3. No guarantee of outcome
- 3.1
We make no representation that using the Service will improve any result.
- 3.2
We make no representation that any material covers a syllabus in whole or in part.
- 3.3
We make no representation that a subject area contains material at all. Many are empty.
- 3.4
We do not guarantee that a particular topic, question or answer will appear on the Service.
- 3.5
No statement anywhere on the Service should be read as a promise of an academic outcome.
- 3.6
Your result depends on your work, your teaching and the paper you sit, none of which we control.
4. Not professional advice
- 4.1
Nothing on the Service is legal advice.
- 4.2
Nothing on the Service is medical or clinical advice, including material in medical and nursing subjects.
Why this is here
Stated expressly because this library carries MBBS and nursing material. A student note on dosage is a revision aid and must never be used to treat a person.
- 4.3
Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, accounting or tax advice.
- 4.4
Nothing on the Service is engineering, structural or safety certification.
- 4.5
Do not act on material from the Service in a professional or clinical context.
- 4.6
The documents in the Legal Centre describe our policies and are not legal advice to you.
5. Availability and technical matters
- 5.1
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
- 5.2
We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
- 5.3
We do not warrant that defects will be corrected, or corrected within any time.
- 5.4
We do not warrant that files are free from viruses or other harmful components, although we take reasonable steps.
- 5.5
We do not warrant that the Service is compatible with any particular device, browser or assistive technology.
- 5.6
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Service at any time.
- 5.7
Downloaded material is your responsibility to store. We are not a backup service.
6. Third parties
- 6.1
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only.
- 6.2
We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for third-party content, products or policies.
- 6.3
A link is not a recommendation.
- 6.4
Your dealings with a third party are between you and them.
- 6.5
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of other users of the Service.
- 6.6
We are not responsible for material a user copies from the Service and publishes elsewhere.
7. Limitation of liability
- 7.1
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law.
- 7.2
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss.
- 7.3
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, reputation or academic result.
- 7.4
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us — ordinarily nil — or NPR 5,000.
- 7.5
The limits in this section apply however liability arises, whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise.
- 7.6
The limits reflect that the Service is provided free of charge and without payment from users.
- 7.7
Where a court holds any limit in this section unenforceable, the remaining limits continue to apply.
8. What we never exclude
- 8.1
Nothing in this document or anywhere on the Service excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- 8.2
Nothing excludes or limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- 8.3
Nothing excludes or limits our liability for any matter which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
- 8.4
Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of Nepal.
Why this is here
A liability cap in a standard-form contract with a consumer is not automatically enforceable in Nepal. This clause exists so that the rest of the section cannot be read as an attempt to displace those rights.
- 8.5
Nothing prevents you from complaining to a regulator or from bringing a claim you are entitled to bring.
