Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of the Terms of Use and applies to every person who uses the Service, whether or not they hold an account.

This policy applies to uploads, posts, comments, answers, group names, profile fields, file names, messages and any other means of publishing on the Service.

A prohibition on conduct includes attempting that conduct, assisting another person to do it, and encouraging another person to do it.

The lists in this policy give examples. Conduct not listed may still breach this policy if it is inconsistent with its stated purpose.

Where this policy prohibits something, no exception arises because the material is freely available elsewhere, because attribution is given, or because no charge is made.

Notes, summaries and worked answers you wrote yourself.

Photographs of your own handwritten notes.

Slide decks, mind maps and revision aids you created.

Past examination questions that have already been sat by all candidates, together with your own answers to them.

Reading lists, glossaries and study plans you compiled.

Material you did not write but for which you hold a written licence permitting redistribution, provided you can produce that licence on request.

Material in the public domain, or published under a licence that expressly permits redistribution, provided the licence terms are complied with and stated.

You must not upload scanned, photographed or retyped pages from any textbook, guidebook, workbook or published study guide.

You must not upload material produced by a coaching centre, tuition provider or private institute, whether or not you paid for it.

You must not upload material licensed to you personally, such as an e-book, a subscription resource or a course platform download.

You must not upload another student's work as your own, or without their permission.

You must not remove, obscure or alter a watermark, copyright notice, author name or institutional mark from any material.

You must not upload material a court, an examination body, a publisher or a rights holder has previously required be removed from the Service.

You must not upload material where you are uncertain of your right to do so. If you are unsure, do not upload it.

You must not upload, post, describe, summarise or link to any question, paper or answer from an examination that has not yet been sat by all candidates.

You must not upload material described to you as leaked, confidential, advance or "coming in the exam", whether or not it turns out to be genuine.

You must not offer, request or arrange to sit an examination on behalf of another person.

You must not offer or advertise assignment-writing, thesis-writing or examination-answering services.

You must not upload material obtained by unauthorised access to an institution's systems, an invigilator, or an examination body.

You must not use the community to coordinate cheating during a live examination, including requesting answers while a paper is in progress.

These clauses are elaborated in the Academic Integrity and Examination Material Policy, which sets out how reports are handled and what is disclosed to examination authorities.

You must not upload another person's marksheet, transcript, certificate, admit card or examination result.

You must not upload a citizenship certificate, passport, national identity document, PAN card or any similar document belonging to any person, including yourself.

You must not upload photographs in which an identifiable person appears without that person's consent.

You must not publish another person's telephone number, home address, email address, date of birth or family details.

You must not upload material captured in a classroom, office or examination hall where the people in it did not agree to be recorded.

You must check the corners and margins of anything you photograph before uploading it, including whiteboards, registers and screens visible in the frame.

You must not aggregate publicly available information about a person in order to identify, locate or expose them.

You must not harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate any person.

You must not post content that attacks a person or group on the basis of caste, ethnicity, religion, nationality, language, region, gender, sexual orientation, disability or economic background.

You must not incite violence against any person or group, or glorify violence that has occurred.

You must not impersonate another person, a teacher, an institution, an examination body, a government office or this Service.

You must not publish sexual content, and you must not direct sexual comments at any person.

You must not contact a person through the Service after they have asked you to stop.

You must not encourage self-harm or suicide, and you must not post material that promotes eating disorders or substance abuse.

You must not post content that is designed to provoke conflict rather than to help someone study.

Any material that sexualises a child, in any form, real or generated. Such material is reported to the authorities without notice to the account holder.

Any material that promotes, funds or facilitates terrorism or violent extremism.

Any material that facilitates the sale of weapons, controlled drugs, human organs, or any other unlawful trade.

Any material promoting gambling, betting or a financial scheme dependent on recruiting others.

Any material that is obscene under the laws of Nepal.

Any malware, exploit, credential list, phishing page or tool whose purpose is unauthorised access.

Any content that is unlawful under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063 or any other law applicable in Nepal.

You must not use the Service to advertise a business, a product, a coaching centre, a consultancy or a service.

You must not sell notes, answers, accounts or access to any part of the Service.

You must not post affiliate links, referral links or tracking links.

You must not post the same or substantially similar content repeatedly, across multiple groups, or under multiple accounts.

You must not use the Service to build a mailing list, collect contact details, or recruit users to another platform.

You must not upload material whose principal purpose is to promote something rather than to teach something.

Educational institutions wishing to publish material at scale should contact us first rather than uploading in bulk.

You must not access, or attempt to access, any account, system, network or data you are not authorised to access.

You must not scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically download the Service or any substantial part of it.

You must not use the Service or its content to train, fine-tune, benchmark or evaluate a machine learning model without our prior written permission.

You must not create accounts by automated means, or operate multiple accounts to manipulate votes, downloads, views, rankings or contribution counts.

You must not interfere with the Service by overloading it, flooding it with requests, or attacking its availability.

You must not circumvent, disable or interfere with any security feature, rate limit or access control.

You must not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.

Security research is welcome and is governed by the Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, which sets out what testing is permitted and how to report findings.

Anything you believe breaches this policy can be reported to abuse@lacspace.com, or through the report control on the content itself.

Reports should include a link to the material and a short description of the problem. Reports without a link take considerably longer to act on.

We do not retaliate against a person who reports a suspected breach in good faith, and we do not disclose the identity of a reporter to the person reported.

Deliberately false reports made to harass another user are themselves a breach of this policy.

Consequences for breach are set out in the Enforcement, Warnings and Legal Action Policy and range from removal of the material to closure of the account and referral to the authorities.

Breach of this policy may also breach the law. Compliance with this policy is not a defence to any legal claim brought by a rights holder or by any other person.
