How many verification codes can I request?

Five in any twenty-four hours, with a sixty-second wait between them. You get five attempts at entering a code before it is burned and a fifteen-minute lockout starts.

These limits exist because the alternative is a way to send unlimited email to any address somebody types in. They are counted on your account rather than in the app's memory, so restarting the app does not reset them.
