Will it always be free?

Reading is intended to stay free permanently, and that is written into the Platform Licence rather than only stated here.

If anything ever changed it would apply to new material and never retroactively to notes people donated on the understanding they would stay free. Taking that back would be a betrayal of the people who built the library.
