Why is my profile completeness not at 100%?

The meter counts the fields that make a profile useful to somebody deciding whether to trust your notes: avatar, bio, college, faculty, semester, district, interests and at least one link, plus a verified email.

None of it is required and nothing is withheld if you leave it empty. It exists because a profile with a face, a college and a subject gets read very differently from a blank one.
